Manor Field Infant and Nursery School is built on the grounds of the old Manor House and shares a large, attractive green site with Long Stratton High School and St Marys Church of England Junior School. There is a hard play area and an adventure playground and in the summer months the children can enjoy playing and relaxing on our own large field which is also used for outdoor sports and athletic activities.  We are proud of our “hills and hollows” area which enables our pupils to play with natural materials in a safe environment. We also have a dedicated outdoor classroom.

We are proud of the physical resources of the school. Every classroom is extremely well equipped. Over recent years much money has been invested in computer, technology and science equipment and in books. Each class has its own fiction library in addition to the general children’s reference library. We ensure that teachers too have access to their own collection of topic resource books, reference material and educational publications. Our teachers use interactive white boards to deliver the curriculum.  We have a dedicated Media Suite offering a range of technology to develop and support pupils’ learning.

We are very fortunate in having a large hall which not only has a good stock of large P.E. apparatus but can also be used for drama, and performances to which parents are invited. It also means that we can invite theatre groups, musicians and puppeteers to perform in our school to broaden the children’s cultural and educational experiences.

As we are so well placed in the centre of Long Stratton with its excellent amenities, we are able to easily use the assets of the local community to enrich our school life.
