Pupils are encouraged to wear clothes that are suitable and appropriate for school. Girls are encouraged to wear a grey skirt/pinafore dress or trousers with navy cardigan or sweatshirt. In the summer they may wear blue gingham/striped cotton dresses. Boys are encouraged to wear grey trousers / shorts with navy jumper/sweatshirt.
Uniform available includes sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts and fleeces, with the school logo. Similar sweatshirts, cardigans and polo shirts can be bought in person from Stevensons School Outfitters, 67 Ber Street, Norwich (telephone no. 01603 230618) along with book bags/PE bags.
Sensible black, or navy school shoes should be worn. For P.E. lessons we like them to have a pair of black or blue shorts and a white T shirt to change into which are kept in a P.E. bag. Pupils will need plimsolls or suitable trainers. Shoes worn during the day are not acceptable for P.E. Pupils should have P.E. kit in school on Monday morning and will be encouraged to take them home on Fridays for laundering.
For swimming your child will need a towel, trunks/one-piece swimsuit and a cap (which helps to prevent loose hair blocking the filters).
Finally we ask for safety reasons that children do not wear jewellery in school. If your child has pierced ears the only ear-rings we can allow are small studs or sleepers and these must be removed on the days that your child goes swimming and for P.E. Pupils unable to remove their ear-rings will not be allowed to take part in P.E. or swimming activities. Staff are not allowed to remove or replace earrings for a child and cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a child removing or replacing their own earrings. Parents cannot transfer this responsibility to teachers.
Unfortunately, any personal property which children bring into school is not covered by the Schools Insurance Policy.
Pupils with hair that is shoulder length or longer are expected to wear it tied back during the school day.
